World Trade Center Goa promoted by the M. Visvesvaraya Industrial Research and Development Centre (MVIRDC), is a membership-based, not-for-profit trade promotion organization located in Panaji, the capital city of Goa.  It is an esteemed member of the World Trade Centers Association (WTCA) New York, which represents an unparalleled network of 320 WTCs in 90 countries representing over a million business houses
WTC Goa was established with a view to connect Goa to the global network of WTCA as well as promote the local businesses to reach out to global markets. The objective is to create a platform for businesses to avail firsthand information on latest market trends/ trade opportunities and to meet with global business leaders. The services provided by WTC Goa include workshops, interactive meetings and training programmes with domain experts and policy makers to benefit businesses, aspiring entrepreneurs, academia and other stakeholders. The establishment of WTC Goa has created global visibility for the state not only as a tourist destination but also as an emerging business hub.

About World Trade Center Goa


World Trade Center Goa plays a crucial role in fostering global trade by offering a range of specialized programs and services aimed at enhancing the capabilities of local businesses and integrating them into international markets.

Key Activities:


  • Trade Events: A very important service offered by WTC Goa are the discussions and deliberations organised on export-import, banking and trade finance, global market opportunities, logistics, supply chain management, documentation and compliances, sustainability and many topical issues addressed with bankers, economists, technocrats, trade consultants, government officials and other domain experts. The meetings are open to the local business community which not only include MSMEs but also caters to woman entrepreneurs, startups, aspiring entrepreneurs, students and other professionals.


  • International Business Connections: One of the standout services offered by WTC Goa is its facilitation of international business connections. Through networking events, trade missions, and partnerships with global trade bodies, WTC Goa connects local businesses with international counterparts, opening doors for collaborations, joint ventures, and newer markets. WTC Goa has signed various MoUs with WTCs from Cyprus, Warsaw, Algiers, Poitiers Futuroscope- France, Hague and Yerevan and is organizing online trade events with international partners like WTCs in Brest, Winnipeg, Savanna, Accra, Vancouver, Dublin and National Council of Cashew Exporters of Benin, Africa
  • Trade Information: WTC Goa offers valuable resources and insights on international trade opportunities. This includes up-to-date market intelligence, trade reports, and detailed data on global supply chains helping businesses make informed decisions and identify potential markets for expansion. ONTRADE the official magazine of MVIRDC, promoter of WTC Goa covers events and programmes of our Center and various trade-related articles which serve as a point of reference for members. Besides the research studies and whitepapers published regularly are made available on request. 

  • Trade Education: WTC Goa provides educational diplomas such as PGDFT, PGDFERM, PGDGLSCM and certificate courses, training programs and workshops with domain experts that equip businesses with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate in the local and global supply chain. These programs cover a wide array of topics, including international trade regulations, export-import procedures and policy updates. WTC Goa also collaborates with local educational institutions and government bodies to boost capacity building and skills.
